Ever thought protection in a humanitarian crisis was too risky, too complex or just plain unrealistic? In fact there is a lot that humanitarians outside the protection sector can do to help people caught up in an emergency to stay safe from violence, coercion and abuse. The bigger risk is often in turning a blind eye to the threats they may face. This leaflet, along with a colourful poster, addresses some of the common concerns that discourage many non-protection humanitarian specialists from taking an active part in protection efforts.
