dc.description
Organisations working with HIV and AIDS are showing a growing understanding of the importance of involving young people in projects. Their participation as full, active and competent partners in program design, decisions, implementation, monitoring and evaluation is valued and sought. JOHAP undertook a case study project in order to understand better and to share successes and challenges of engaging young people in HIV and AIDS related work. This involved documenting and sharing the ways in which four partner organisations engaged young people from their communities in their HIV and AIDS work.

The study focuses on the work of the following partner organisations: KwaZulu-Natal Progressive Primary Health Care based in KwaZulu-Natal, Lamontville AIDS Service Centre based in KwaZulu-Natal, Targeted AIDS Interventions based in KwaZulu-Natal and Moletsi Community Radio Station based in Limpopo.

This document is one of a number of publications highlighting learning during the third phase of Joint Oxfam HIV and AIDS Program (JOHAP) (July 2006–June 2008).
en
