Evaluation reportDescription
The project 'Promoting Food Security in South East Liberia through Commercial Rice Value-Chain Development' supported a large agricultural producers' co-operative in developing paddy fields and in providing its members with training, inputs and technical support to increase their rice production. The project also aimed to build the capacity of the co-operative to process and market rice on behalf of its members. This project was implemented from 2008 to 2011, with the activities scaled-up under a newer project since 2012. This report documents the findings of a quasi-experimental evaluation carried out in January and February 2013 that sought to assess the impact of the activities of this project.
