Evaluation reportDescription
The Guatemala Highlands Value-Chain Development Alliance is a initiative supporting members of several local producer associations in the Department of Solola in Guatemala. These projects are implemented in partnership with the Asociacion de Desarollo Agricola y Microempresarial (ADAM) and with private-sector partners. In the first phase of the initiative, the activities focused on increasing agricultural production and household food security, as well as on giving opportunities for increasing women's participation in the associations. This report documents the findings of a quasi-experimental impact evaluation carried out in February 2012 of the effects of those interventions on the livelihoods of producers and on women's empowerment.
