DescriptionThe availability of improved agricultural and environmental conservation technologies might suggest that we can relatively easily improve the living conditions of rural farmers. However, the experience of a project in Tanzania shows that men's and women's use of technologies are intricately linked with social and cultural factors such as the gender division of labour.
