Document typeJournal article
DescriptionThe Human Development Index (HDI) has become a widely used measure for understanding patterns of socio-economic development. This article argues that it could be greatly improved by incorporating sex-disaggregated data, to reveal the different socio-economic contributions and situations of men and women within each country. This article is hosted by our co-publisher Taylor & Francis.
