Description
Uganda faces frequent humanitarian challenges, both natural and conflict related. In order to improve preparedness and response to these events, Oxfam GB with Oxfam NOVIB and Oxfam Ireland developed a Disaster Preparedness and Contingency Planning (DPCP) project. The project (April 2007 - September 2008) aimed to improve preparedness and increase effective and accountable humanitarian response by Oxfam and stakeholders, based on the underlying principles of communication, consultation and co-ordination. This final review assesses achievements against expected results and advises the Oxfam International (OI) country team on an eventual follow-up phase.
