Description
How Europe shapes its future for the next 10 or 20 years will determine to an important degree how the developing countries are able to shape theirs. And vice versa. What kind of growth can be devised for the European Community which will meet our own social and economic needs and at the same time enable us to help the people of the poorer countries meet theirs? Europe and the World Without examines the wide range of Community policies and programmes which affect development in the Third World, including finance, trade, agriculture, employment, industry and migration. The report concludes with recommendations to the European Commission and the member governments for improving the Community's performance in meeting its global responsibilities.
