Description

Gender-based inequality is one of the main barriers to achieving resilience for communities or societies. Gender inequality limits the way women and girls, men and boys are able to respond to and manage change.

This guide is designed to help development practitioners understand the importance and implications of gender mainstreaming for humanitarian, development and campaign-based initiatives for resilient development. It aims to demystify gender mainstreaming and to change the way teams relate to it. The guide complements Oxfam's Framework for Resilient Development, The Future is a Choice.
