<p>Delivering aid to a large, displaced population provides challenges for governments, the private sector and aid organizations in the aftermath of any humanitarian crisis. The increasing scale and impact of disaster events call for innovative solutions for a more efficient and effective delivery of cash to affected populations.</p> <p>This case study describes how Oxfam and Visa teamed up to develop a safe, simple and efficient solution that allows individuals from the most vulnerable communities to benefit from the power of electronic payment. The goal is to increase efficiency in financial aid disbursement, speed up processing and distribution, and reduce security risks. </p>
