Description
Attempts at 'sustainable development' often fail to take into account the different needs of men and women with regard to the environment. Redclift argues that a regenerative approach to development is needed, as current approaches only serve to reinforce gender inequalities. She considers this alternative in relation to women and rights over the environment, energy systems, reproductive control, and epistemologies.
