Founded in 1942, Oxfam continues its work in relief and development today, in over 70 countries. The focus is on people - people we work alongside overseas in their struggle to improve their own lives; people here, staff and volunteers, who work in many ways to raise money and raise awareness, and who think of themselves as part of a worldwide movement dedicated to the fight against poverty and exploitation.
