Description
One of Oxfam's two sustainable livelihoods programmes in Nigeria addressed market access for small-scale farmers in the Middle and Sorghum Belt. The pilot project ran from 2004 to 2005 and dealt with the marketing constraints of farmers. The final evaluation of the project was undertaken in order to enable Oxfam GB to: redesign it in line with making Nigeria the focus of our programme in West Africa; assess development and planning processes, achievements and challenges, including gender considerations; and learn lessons for a follow-up project.
