Description
<html> <head> <title></title> </head> <body> <p>The Women&#39;s Economic Empowerment and Care (WE-Care) programme aimed to support women and girls to have more choice and agency over how they spend their time, enabling them to engage in social, personal, economic, and political activities. This final evaluation of the WE-Care Project in Zimbabwe and the Philippines, funded by Unilever and its Surf brand, sought to understand how change happened as a result of WE-Care interventions, in light of the different &#8216;pathways of change&#8217; identified by the project&#8217;s Theory of Change.</p> <p>The evaluation findings show that in two years of implementation, the project was successful in reducing women&#8217;s time on care tasks and in promoting recognition of unpaid care in policies at local level. It also made considerable progress towards more gender-equitable distribution of care work, contributing towards shifting both norms and behaviour around unpaid care and domestic work.</p> </body> </html>
